Is S302 getting scraped or is it going to be in running order after V/Line has got rid of the locomotive.

Hi Eddie. What if anything is to be done with S302 or its class leader to preserve one of them, as of these two first locomotives broke the ribbon in 1962 (?) at Spencer Street Station when they hauled the first Spirit of Progress on Standard Gauge. Will V/line be keeping one of them for posterity ? Regards Gordon

Edward, Thank you for your excellent Gallery of 'VR' trains & steam locos. Very sad to see Y112 sitting forlornly at(I presume) Ballarat siding. Good that someone has seen fit to cover the funnel with the Dome Cover. Very ingenious. Terrific shots of R761 and T395 mate. Imagine R766 with a more slender looking body (Steam Cylinders brought in by 3.25 ins each side). Can't wait to see R766 on SG and R761 on BG parallel running somewhere between Melbourne and Seymour. When that happens, "You and I'll be in Railway Heaven Eddie". I suggest you should be able to make some worthwhile contacts. Keep up the good work fella. Regards Gordon Barnard Ex.
